We are a fast-growing e-commerce and nutra business operating on a Cash-on-Delivery (COD) model.
We are moving beyond siloed systems and manual Excel work toward a single, reliable source of truth for profitability and cash flow.
We are implementing Microsoft Power BI as our core analytics platform and are looking for a strong Power BI specialist who can own the BI layer end-to-end, from messy raw data to clear, decision-ready dashboards.
The Challenge
Revenue data lives in our Traffic Manager system, while costs (courier & logistics, Amsped fees, call center, salaries) live across different tools and files.
Your mission is to:
● Match revenue and costs at order level
● Build real P&L, not just delivered revenue
● Forecast future cash flow from pending COD orders
Your Mission:
Build and own our BI layer so the business can see real profit and realistic cash-in projections, not fragmented metrics.
Within your first months, you will deliver:
● An automated weekly P&L dashboard (affiliate / product / courier / GEO)
● A projection layer showing pending orders, expected delivery, and cashflow forecast
● Clear, documented KPIs that teams actually trust and use
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Integration & Modeling
● Integrate data from multiple sources:
○ Traffic Manager API (clicks, leads, sales, order value)
○ Amsped & courier exports (delivery status, RTO, costs)
○ Finance / HR data (salaries, fixed & variable costs)
○ Excel, Google Sheets, SQL databases, APIs
● Use Power Query (M) to build repeatable ETL pipelines
● Create a single Order ID–centric data model linking revenue, logistics, and costs
● Design clean star schemas (facts & dimensions)
2. Metrics, Logic & DAX
Build core measures in DAX, including:
Revenue
● Gross, net, COD collected
● By date, GEO, affiliate, product
Costs
● Courier & logistics
● Amsped fees
● Call center
● Salaries
● Media spend (where available)
Profit & Loss
● P&L per affiliate, product, courier, postal code, GEO
COD-Specific KPIs
● RTO rate
● Delivery rate
● Confirmation rate
● Average delivery time
● Courier performance metrics
3. Projection & Cash Flow Logic
● Model orders in “in transit / pending” status
● Estimate:
○ Expected delivery probability
○ Expected delivery timing by courier and GEO
● Forecast:
○Projected revenue
○Expected cash-in for the next 1–4 weeks
4. Dashboards & Reporting
Build clear, practical (non-fancy) Power BI dashboards for:
● Management
○ High-level P&L
○ Cash flow projections
● Marketing / Affiliate Team
○ Performance by affiliate, traffic source, funnel
● Operations / Logistics
○ Courier and region performance
○ RTO hotspots
Automate weekly reporting so dashboards refresh from live data — no manual Excel
exporting or merging.
5. Quality, Governance & Documentation
● Implement basic data validation checks:
○ Missing or duplicated Order IDs
○ Invalid statuses
○ Negative margins
● Document:
○ Data sources & transformations
○ KPI definitions (what “delivered”, “RTO”, “profit” actually mean)
○ How each dashboard is used by different teams
We are looking for someone who:
● Thinks in profit and cash flow
● Understands how COD businesses really work
● Can turn fragmented data into decisions the business can trust.
We will use a short Power BI test task as the final evaluation step.
