Our client is looking for hands-on farming specialist who works in constant direct contact with the SS buying team and is responsible for ensuring that the process from a buyer’s request to the delivery of a ready-to-use resource is fast, transparent, controlled, and high-quality.
This is not simply a senior farmer or a manager who passes tasks between departments.
The buying team’s needs and priorities.
Agencies and suppliers of advertising accounts.
Resource preparation, configuration, and sharing.
A future farming team working specifically to support SS requirements.
The desired outcome: our client understands both the buying team's operational context and the specifics of working with agency-provided advertising accounts well enough to design and implement the most effective collaboration model.
The role is intended to restore the transparency and quality of interaction that were possible when the buying and farming functions operated as a small, closely connected team, but that began to deteriorate as the teams grew.
Previously, issues could be discussed quickly with someone who directly understood Facebook and the buyers’ workflows. As the organization scaled, communication gaps emerged: requests were lost, statuses became unclear, new agencies took too long to onboard, resource availability data became outdated, and the farming team became disconnected from the actual context of campaign launches.
Our client needs who will translates buyers’ requests into actionable farming tasks and ensures they reach the right person. In the opposite direction, they explain farming-related limitations and challenges in terms the buying team can understand.
In essence, this is a hands-on farming support role at the intersection of technical operations and project coordination.
The Group Head also performs hands-on work: urgent tasks that take 1–10 minutes are handled directly rather than passed through multiple people.
Work directly with media buyers to collect requests and identify problems, clarify context, and ensure every request is resolved.
Manage relationships with agencies that supply advertising accounts, including onboarding new partners, negotiating pricing, volumes, quality standards, and delivery arrangements.
Ensure no request gets lost: every task must have an owner, a status, and a clearly defined next step.
Prepare and configure resources, including Business Managers (BMs), pixels, catalogs, and access permissions, and deliver them to buyers in working condition.
Troubleshoot advertising account issues, including restrictions, appeals, and verification problems. Handle urgent tasks personally.
Maintain an up-to-date overview of available resources and supplier terms.
Collect feedback from buyers and continuously improve processes.
Eventually build and manage a dedicated farming team of 4–5 people.
Strong hands-on experience in media buying and/or farming.
Deep understanding of the Facebook ecosystem and how advertising resources operate.
Ability to perform technical operations and assess the quality of work completed by team members.
Practical experience with advertising accounts, Business Managers, profiles, pixels, catalogs, access permissions, appeals, verification, account warming, and related tools.
Understanding of how the system behaves in challenging situations, including account restrictions, unstable or declining traffic performance, resource-related issues, and supplier delays.
Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and identify workable solutions.
Experience negotiating with external partners and suppliers.
English proficiency sufficient for communication with suppliers.
Candidates with a media buying background who previously developed their careers in farming are also welcome. However, buying experience alone is not sufficient: the two functions require different skill sets, so the interview process must establish what the candidate has actually done and can independently execute within farming.
The ideal candidate has substantial farming experience, subsequently moved into media buying, did not achieve the desired results there, and now wants to return to farming.
A candidate who moved into buying after only a couple of months in farming is not a good fit.
The candidate must be able to integrate quickly into the buying team and establish effective day-to-day communication.
The role requires approximately 65–75% hands-on execution and 25–35% coordination.
The candidate must demonstrate:
A thorough understanding of the farming function and a willingness to handle technical tasks personally.
Experience handling crisis situations and resolving operational issues.
Experience negotiating with external partners.
A long-term motivation to work within the farming function rather than treating the role as a stepping stone into media buying.
