Head of Finance (VSL ecom) J517

$3,500 - $5,000 monthly

Job Description

We're looking for a commercially minded Head of Finance to build and own the financial operating system across a portfolio of fast-growing businesses operating within marketing, media, events, and membership models.

This is not a traditional bookkeeping role. We are seeking someone who can create clarity from complexity, build systems that scale, and provide leadership with instant visibility into the financial health of the business.

Initially, a significant portion of the role will involve building processes, reporting structures, and infrastructure. Over time, the objective is to leverage automation, AI, and efficient systems so the finance function becomes increasingly proactive, scalable, and streamlined.

Expected Workload:
• Initial commitment: 20–30 hours per week
• Long-term target: 10–20 hours per week through process optimisation, automation, and systems improvements.

Within the first 60 days, establish a finance function that provides leadership with reliable, real-time visibility across multiple entities.

Leadership should have immediate access to:
• Cash position by entity
• Consolidated cash position
• Receivables and payables
• Project profitability
• 13-week cash forecasts
• Runway calculations
• Financial risks
• Key decisions requiring financial input
