As an Affiliate Marketing Manager, you will plan the affiliate promotions for all Groupon sales, events, and seasonal activities with our partners. You will work with a mix of publishers, but will mainly focus on building and growing the top partners in the Groupon Affiliate Network. You will have the autonomy to ‘act like it’s your business’: we trust our teammates to prioritize accounts, negotiate complex offers, and craft compelling offer structures to further our team’s business goals.

You’ll Spend Time On The Following

  • You will evaluate the performance of individual affiliates and similar groups of publishers with an analytical approach
  • You will complete in-depth analysis on profitability by affiliate and segment
  • You will apply your insights on performance to develop and implement strategies that maximize profit and activations across your entire publisher portfolio
  • Forecasting how much revenue and profit we will drive from each affiliate
  • Planning the marketing for the affiliates in your portfolio
  • Partnering with Engineering on projects that will help drive incremental volume
  • Managing and optimize the top partners in the Groupon Partner Network
  • Handling vendors and agencies within affiliate and CSEs

Requirements

  • You have 5-8+ years in a digital marketing or e-commerce business; affiliate marketing experience is a plus
  • You bring 5+ years in account management with e-commerce partner or client negotiation responsibility to the table
  • Knowledge of CPC-based distribution partners, bid management, and optimization a plus
  • Knowledge of individual affiliate business models, e.g. coupons, loyalty, paid search, content, etc.
  • You're an Excel wizard, especially with large data manipulation, modeling, and SQL
  • You're thinking big and enjoy using analytics to tackle problems
  • You thrive in a team environment
  • You're comfortable juggling multiple things at once and are like a human trapper keeper when it comes to organization
  • Bonus points if you have experience negotiating large publisher marketing campaigns
  • Self-starter, strong sense of ownership, and enjoy getting things done
