Full-time Ad Operations/Media Buying


The Social Media Buyer works within our digital acquisition department, and is responsible for managing, implementing, and overseeing ad buying efforts for our branded content promotion on social media.

We are looking for someone with experience in running affiliate offers and/or someone who works for a media buying/digital marketing agency/advertiser, preferably in the social media field. This individual will know how to successfully promote content and generate leads or conversions, not just views, likes or shares.

The ideal candidate must be well-versed in the Facebook ad manager interface, with experience in testing various audiences, optimizing ads and landing pages.

This role requires an analytical mindset to analyze, act on, and report on direct-response type actions, as well as a creative mindset to generate clever ideas that will deliver results.

This individual will team up with members of the marketing team to brainstorm, develop, and execute creative strategies.

This is an in-house position. No agencies please.

Job Breakdown

  • 60% Strategic social media ad buying with heavy optimization through analytics
  • 20% Creative on-page conversion optimization
  • 10% Compiling and reporting findings and optimizing accordingly
  • 10% Writing ads/assisting with creative development

Essential Job Duties And Skills

  • Managing campaign success per campaign goals/KPIs
  • Optimizing landing pages and ads as part of campaign optimization to hit goals/KPIs
  • Running audience testing across all campaigns
  • Preparing and delivering performance/optimization reports.
  • Staying up to date with platform specific ad unit options on (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.
  • Identifying strong co-marketing opportunities and establish new partnerships.

Job Level

Mid-Senior Level


  • Proven track record in media buying (with a conversion goal that is likes or shares) or advertising sales a must
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Must have an advanced understanding of creative testing, reporting and optimization for performance-based ROIs and lead captures
  • Mastery of all relevant social platform UIs and capabilities (all ad units, targeting options) - Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram etc.
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Excellent sales writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with best-in-class examples of brands in social media
  • Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail
  • A fast learner who can work on a team and alone.
