As a result of our phenomenal recent success, Coupang is seeking a Director of Affiliate Marketing to be located at our Seoul HQ, forming a key part of our ecommerce organization.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to drive our Affiliate Marketing program to the next level and have a huge impact on Coupang's business.

With the role, you will be responsible for building and scaling Coupang Affiliate Marketing Team, driving strategy, setting priorities, building technology and infrastructure, building the first of its kind publisher ecosystem in Korea, and delivering on ambitious affiliate marketing & associated revenue goals. 

You will be the Channel leader and have full P&L responsibility for your channel and grow the company’s revenue base by working at the intersection of business development, technology, data, analytics, and marketing. You will have ownership of all affiliate marketing programs, partners, and outcomes worldwide.


  • Work with Coupang Executive, Growth Marketing, and Sales Teams, as well as other key stakeholders across the company to set and execute the affiliate marketing strategy and roadmap for Coupang.
  • To build large scale Affiliate Marketing Programs including & own the Product, business and Customer Facing aspects of it including communications to and managing of partners.
  • Make recommendations to build or buy tools that could enhance revenue driving capabilities and reduce risks of fraud while building the channel.
  • Determine the KPIs and build the dashboards to track, optimize, and report on affiliate marketing goals and progress. Including impact on Customer, Revenues and Incrementality of the business.
  • Build affiliate channel lead generation, conversion, and revenue projections, and align weekly and quarterly goals to meet those projections.
  • Drive business development activities (and ultimately hire a team of affiliate marketing representatives) to sign up and manage affiliate partners across target industries, verticals, and online properties.

Job Level



  • Ideally 7 years + of experience in digital performance marketing, partner marketing, and related disciplines, with 4+ years of experience directly managing multi-million dollar revenue online affiliate marketing programs.
  • Strong, analytical, and data-driven background, including direct experience with marketing analytics and digital performance marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience growing lead generation and revenue within a B2C technology or services company.
  • A lean, data-driven, process and KPI-oriented mentality is critical.
  • You must be extremely persistent by nature and unwilling to lose or leave problems unsolved. 
  • Have the ability move fast with projects, work & influence multiple stake holders and drive results.
  • Highly motivated by the prospect of scaling a young, hypergrowth company while building and leading a team of affiliate marketing, analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
